According to the information, the dam at Tapovan has also been damaged due to heavy rains and debris due to the breaking of the glacier, due to which there is a danger of major destruction in the lowlands. Due to this, people living in areas along the river have been put on alert. CM Trivendra Singh Rawat has given instructions to remove the people living on the shore.


CM Trivendra Singh Rawat has given information about this by tweeting. "The Rishiganga project in Rini village of Chamoli is likely to be damaged due to heavy rains and sudden water logging. There is a possibility of flooding in low-lying areas of Alaknanda due to sudden flooding in the river. People have been alerted in coastal areas. Inhabitants are being removed from the area. "
