The Government of India has just launched the Mera Ration App which is a good move for migrant workers. My Ration App has been launched by the Ministry of Food and Public Distribution and is a part of the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) system of the government.
My Ration App is for migrant laborers who have to live in different places for work and ideally need a ration card, which works in the states. The app currently consists of 32 states and union territories and the remaining states will be added soon as per the pattern.
Secretary of the Department of Food and Public Distribution, Sudhanshu Pandey said that the system was initially introduced in August 2019 in four states and then implemented in 32 states and union territories by December last year. The states currently included in the roster include only Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and West Bengal and these four are expected to be included in the next few months.
Pandey said that the system currently covers around 69 crore NFSA (National Food Security Act) beneficiaries, which is about 86% of the NFSA population in India, and a monthly average of about 1.5 to 16 crore portfolio equity transmission under the ONCC system. is. .
Important things to know about Mera Ration app
- My ration mobile app is still only on Android. All Indian citizens can register themselves on the app to get food grains at discounted prices.
- My Ration App also allows users to check what they are worth, find nearby ration shops, etc. It also supports biometric authentication.
- My Ration App comes with an Aadhaar-based login and is available in both Hindi and English. Support for 14 regional languages is expected to come soon.
- You can download the app from Google Play Store and once downloaded you will have to register using your ration card details.
