The Bill & Milinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), an organization of world-renowned industrialist billgates, is about to operate a 100-bed dedicated Kovid hospital in Gorakhpur. The hospital will be equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment. Verbal approval has been received for the proposal, a letter of approval will also come soon.
Hospital will be built in sports college
The district administration is making arrangements at the Girls Hostel of the Veer Bahadur Singh Sports College after receiving verbal approval from Bill Gates's association BMGF regarding the proposal to operate the hospital. At the same time, the district administration will be responsible for the supply of oxygen in the hospital. For this, the work of laying oxygen pipeline has started. BMGF will operate this hospital for six months. After that the command of operations will be handed over to the district administration.
Medical staff will be from BMGF
The 100-bed hospital will be equipped with modern medical equipment. Apart from this, arrangements will be made by BMGF in the hospital from medical equipment to medical staff. Vijendra Pandian of the District Magistrate said, “There has been a proposal from the institution of Bill Gates to operate a dedicated Kovid Hospital in the district. A letter of approval is also expected to be received soon. Arrangements are being made at the Sports Hostel of Girls College, the pipeline for Oxygen has started.
