Is there a rift in the Maha Vikas Aghadi? Know what Ajit Pawar said amid the tussle in the alliance

The reaction of NCP leader and state Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar comes amid speculation of a rift in Maharashtra's Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said there was no merit in reports claiming a rift between the ruling alliance partners in the state. Let us inform that Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress are included in Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance and all three are currently in government.

The NCP leader also hit out at BJP's state unit president Chandrakant Patil, who has demanded a CBI probe into the allegations leveled against him and another state minister by sacked Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waje. "Chandrakant Patil has made this demand on the basis of allegations leveled by a jailed criminal who maligns the image of the police department," he said. When Chandrakant was the Revenue, Public Works and Cooperation Minister in the Dada (BJP) government, Shiv Sena MLA from Kolhapur Rajesh Kshirsagar had leveled corruption charges against Patil.

Ajit Pawar said that NCP president Sharad Pawar has already said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government will complete its five-year term. "We have elected our chief minister and that too for five years. The decision was taken by top leaders of all the three parties - Sonia Gandhi (Congress), Sharad Pawar (NCP) and Uddhav Thackeray (Shiv Sena).

The Deputy Chief Minister said, 'Our leader Sharad Pawar has said that the government will complete five years in power. Congress leaders Nana Patole and Balasaheb Thorat have also said that Sonia ji wants this government to last for five years. The reports (about differences between allies) are baseless. They have no guts.'
