Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has given an ultimatum that if the loudspeakers are not removed from the mosques by the 3rd of Eid, then their workers will again recite Hanuman Chalisa in front of them by using loudspeakers. Thackeray was addressing a rally in Thane on Tuesday evening.
Raj Thackeray said, 'Right now I have only talked about Hanuman Chalisa. Don't force me to pull your arrows further. Pray for you at your home. Don't disturb others. It is understandable about five-ten-fifteen days. But 365 days it will not work.
Earlier, in a meeting held in Mumbai on April 2, Raj had also raised the issue saying that if the loudspeakers were not removed from the mosques, then MNS workers would play Hanuman Chalisa in front of the mosques. After this, MNS workers from many parts of the state were arrested by the police for doing so.
Supreme Court cited
The MNS chief said, 'On July 18, 2005, the Supreme Court had said that such religious works should not be allowed to cause trouble to others. If the Supreme Court is saying this, then what is the problem with the state government? Eid is on the 3rd. I am giving ultimatum of 3rd date. Get loudspeakers out of mosques. Otherwise Hanuman Chalisa will be played everywhere. I am not going to back down from this.
'I am not a person to panic about ED'
MNS chief said, 'I am making two demands from PM Modi. Bring uniform civil law in this country and impose diseases on the population. This is the most important thing in the country. The people of the opposition are saying that when I got the ED notice, it was in favor of BJP. I had received ED notice in the case related to Kohinoor company. What was asked was answered. I am not going to panic about ED-VD like them.
Why was there no ED raid on Supriya?
Raj further said, 'When I did not understand anything about Narendra Modi, I openly gave my opinion. But when 370 was removed from Kashmir, I was the first person to tweet in support. I was the first person who said this country should have a PM like Narendra Modi, why should I criticize unnecessarily? Whatever I do not feel right in the future, I will say.
