Mumbai: Summer vacation in Maharashtra schools will start from May 2. The dates for summer holidays in schools have been announced by the state government. From May 2, summer vacations in primary, secondary and higher secondary schools have been declared in schools in the state. The government has decided to start the school from June 13. Earlier, the government had proposed to cancel the summer vacations.
The matter of starting classes in schools in the summer vacations of 2022 and the academic year 2022-23 was being considered at the government level. The government has now issued a circular in this regard. Under this decision, the summer vacations will start from Monday, May 2, 2022. In the session 2022-23, the summer vacations in schools will continue till June 12, 2022. After the holidays, schools will start from June 13. Also, in view of the possibility of heavy heat in Vidarbha in the month of June, summer vacation has been declared till 26 June. Schools in this area will start from 27th June 2022.
Result publication in schools from April 30
The results of classes 1st to 9th and 11th will be published in schools on April 30. With this, students will be able to get their results. An order has been issued to the schools in this regard. It is the responsibility of the respective schools that they will inform the students or parents about the result. The government has ignored the proposal to reduce the summer vacation.
Holidays to be only 76 days
The Maharashtra Secondary School Code stipulates that the total number of holidays during the academic year should not exceed 76 days. It has been clarified by the government that there is a public holiday during the second and fourth Monday of June in the next academic session. Keeping this in mind, the holidays will be decided.
