An official said that the incident took place in Maner area. According to the official, this incident of explosion took place due to cylinder leak while cooking food on the boat. Patna District Collector Chandrashekhar Singh said, "Four people died on the spot, while many others were injured. The local police is investigating the matter and efforts are on to identify all the victims.
"Since the motor boat did not sink in the water after the blast, it has been pulled ashore. The injured have been admitted to a nearby government hospital. His condition is said to be stable.” He said that keeping cylinder on motor boat is illegal.
