Laxman Jagtap Death News: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Laxman Jagtap has passed away at the age of 59 in Maharashtra. As per reports, the BJP MLA breathed his last at a hospital this morning. He died due to prolonged illness. He breathed his last at Jupiter Hospital in Pimpri. Meanwhile, earlier last week MLA Mukta Tilak from Kasba Peth in Pune also passed away due to cancer. BJP has got a big blow due to the departure of these two. Jagtap, who was an MLA from Chinchwad constituency in Pune, had been ill for several days and his health was deteriorating rapidly.


Were admitted to a private hospital for treatment

According to reports, Jagtap was admitted to a private hospital for treatment. The news of Jagtap's death has been shared by NCP leader Rohit Pawar. Pawar said in his post, "The news of the demise of my colleague MLA Laxman Jagtap ji after a long illness is very sad. My heartfelt tribute to him!"

Laxman Jagtap started his political career from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. In 1986, he was elected as a Congress corporator. Later in 1999, when Sharad Pawar formed a new party NCP, Jagtap left Congress and joined NCP.


NCP leader Supriya Sule expressed grief

Condoling the death of MLA Laxman Jagtap, NCP leader Supriya Sule wrote in a tweet, "Laxman Jagtap, MLA from Chinchwad assembly constituency, passed away. He was known as a very popular leader in his area. Jagtap family is saddened by his death." We all share in the pain that has befallen him."
