Girl Dragged Under Car: The case of vandalism with a girl in Delhi's Kanjhawala has shaken everyone. On the night of January 1, the girl's scooty collided with Baleno in Sultanpuri, Delhi and she was dragged by the car for several kilometers, due to which she died. His dead body was found on the road without clothes. Delhi Police gave information about the matter by holding a press conference on Monday.
Sagarpreet Hooda, Special CP (Law and Order) of Delhi Police told that we will soon complete the investigation of the case and submit the report to the court. So far 5 accused have been arrested and the court has sent them on police remand for 3 days. The timeline of the accident will be mapped. Police said that the girl was dragged in the car for 10-12 kms. Special CP said that the medical report is awaited to check whether the accused were intoxicated or not.
'Strict punishment will be given to the accused'
He further informed that action will be taken on the basis of legal, forensic and medical reports as well. We are in touch with the victim's family and they are also being informed about the investigation. He said that we are collecting evidence and will get strict punishment for the accused. A case has been registered against them under sections 274, 304, 120B.
Postmortem report will come tomorrow
According to the police, Deepak Khanna was driving the vehicle among the 5 arrested accused. He works in rural service. Mithun, Krishna, Amit Khanna and Manoj were sitting in the car. He said that he would make a timeline of digital evidence and CCTV footage and then find out from where the accused had come and where they were going. When asked about the girl being dragged, Hooda said that the girl's body got stuck in the car after the accident. After this he was dragged for 10-12 kms. While turning the car, the dead body fell on the road. PM's report will come on Tuesday, that too will be shared with everyone.
